The HSE has established a social care division which is responsible for providing care to vulnerable adults, children and persons with disabilities. This workshop content is

delivered in line with these HSE Guidelines and HIQA Standard 8. A consistent approach is required to ensure all vulnerable children & adults are protected from abuse.

This workshop content is based on HSE recognising and responding to Safeguarding Vulnerable children in Residential Care Settings and Community Based Settings.

All organisations working with children, older persons and persons with disabilities must be aware of these guidelines.

This workshop is aimed to provide safe & dignified intimate care for children & young people who have difficulty with personal and intimate care.

The course can be tailored to suit your needs and requirements – tutor will ring prior to delivery to confirm your specific learning outcomes and tailor workshop to suit your needs.

Dealing with Challenging Behaviour

Aim: Challenging Behaviour training aims to increase the knowledge of the care giver in the understanding of underlying causes of behaviours which are challenging, along with early intervention and non-physical methods for preventing or managing challenging behaviour. This ABA approved training also addresses how to recognize triggers of challenging behavior and the importance of self-care for the carer.

This workshop can be complete online or in a classroom over 1 day.
