Aim: The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to provide and co-ordinate first aid in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 and the associated Guide to these Regulations.
Participant Profile: Course is suitable for those who require a formal qualification and skills to be competent in First Aid.

Entry Requirement: Minimum Level 4 standard of education. A strong level of spoken and written English required.
Assessment: Skills Demonstration 80% Examination Theory 20%. Learners will receive guidelines on completing these assessments.

Refresher: Successful learners must complete a first aid refresher within 2 years and three months of completing the QQI Level 5 training in order to maintain their Occupational First Aid Training certificate.
