COURSE INFORMATION:

Award Aim: The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently and under supervision in a range of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) settings and or to progress to higher education and training.

Duration: Classroom – 4 days (usually 1 day per week) in a classroom setting. Learners will be required to complete work outside of class time.
Distance Learning – Commence at a time suits you and work at your own pace. Full tutor support available throughout.

Credit Value: 120 credits in Early Childhood care & Education Level 5 5M2009

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS:

This award was developed through the Common Award System. QQI has validated this programme for Barrow Training who has full approval from QQI to deliver. The total credit value required for this certificate is 120. This will be achieved by completing the following awards where each component is worth 15 credits:

Entry Requirement: Minimum of Level 4 certificate standard of education or childcare experience. A strong level of spoken and written English required.
